Review of Therabreath

Uncategorized No Comments »

This is a review of the Therabreath products. From personal experience, I can tell you they are quite good.

The basis of this product line is oxygenated compounds. Oxygenated compounds have the power to eliminate the bacteria that cause bad breath, gum disease and other problems.

The therabreath products have many incarnations, including drops, gums, toothpastes and mouthwashes. I’ve used the Perio-Therapy mouthwash and toothpastes as well as the AktivOxigen Serum. I like to use the powerful oxygen drops as an addition to my hydrofloss before irrigating my teeth and gums.

This practice seems to have been very beneficial. This is, of course, a subjective observation, but still real to me.

As with any other type of product line, there are coupons and you can receive therabreath coupons at the therabreathcoupon.com site. Using some of these coupons is as good as getting a therabreath discount.

There are multiple ways to utilize the therabreath products. The founder of this product line has demonstrated in public how powerful his oxygenated mouthwashes are. For example, he bit into an onion and tested his breath using a halimeter ( a device for determing the level of bad breath you have). This of course, prompted a very high reading on the halimeter.

He was able to show that the halimeter’s findings were much less after using the mouthwash on himself. You would have to agree this was a powerful indication of the product’s capabilities.

You should be advised that the United States Food and Drug Administration has not evaluated any statements about any products in this article. If you have or think you might have any type of oral health problem or any other health problem, visit with your doctor or dentist for advice, diagnosis and treatment.  This article does not intend to offer advice, it is for information purposes only.

Emergency Dental Services

Looking for Emergency Dental Treatments?

Unless you have Insurance at the time of the emergency, it is usually not an option. Dental Patients can save even more on the dental emergency treatment by joining the discount dental plan before going to the dental appointment. Normally with a Discounted Dental Plan you are able to get in to see the Dentist within 24 hours in cases od dental emergencies.

How Dental Insurance works:

Discount Plans has been around for a long time, but many consumers do not understand the difference between discounted plans and insurance. Dental Insurance costs can range from $50 to $150 per month depending on the services provided. Once the dental procedures are completed the dental office usually bills the dental insurance company for payment. The insured client usually will have a deductible of $100 or more which must be paid out before the Insurance Company pays. After the deductible is paid, dental insurance companies usually pay 50-80% on preventative and restorative dentistry.

With insurance there are usually exemptions, where certain types of costly procedures are no covered, such as braces or cosmetic procedures. On specific dental procedures the may be waiting periods. (eg dental crowns, roort canals). Also with Dental Insurance there are annual limits on your services. These limits, exclusions and caps on the service are essential to the policy, otherwise insuring provider could be liable for more money that they take in and eventually go out of business.

A Better Option:

One of the options to consumers is the Discount Plan. Many Dental Insurance companies now provide Discout Dental Plans as an option. With discounted dental plans the member pays less. Discounted Dental Plans have a network of private paractice Dentists who are willing to provide a discount to plan members.

Why would a Dentist accept a discounted fee for their services? The Dentist is able to provide discounts, in return for prompt payment at the time of service. The prompt payment by the patient, eliminates to need to deal with the costly aspects of billing. There is no paperwork. Having plan members referred also eliminates the need to pay expensive advertising costs, as the company sends them a steady stream of new patients.

Dentists are willing to provide discounts from 25-80% to dental plan members. The exact amount depends on the treatment. Bottom line with these plans, the Dentist and member both win.

Options for Emergency Dental Care Service:

1. Investigate Discount Dental Program with no waiting period.
2. Arrange for a Dental Emergency visit.
3. Dental emergencies can usually be treted on Saturday if the dental office is open.

Prevent the Problems that Gingivitis Brings…

Uncategorized No Comments »

The majority of people can do something about gum disease if they really wish to. It is indeed easier to prevent periodontal disease. However, many folks, perhaps as many as seventy-five percent currently have a problem that needs to be solved.

If you have mild to moderate gum disease, you can save yourself money and pain. But you need to take action right away. If you have mild gingivitis, you are in a better place.

Many of our physical problems may arise from our lack of good nutrition. Excessive sugar intake may not only contribute to the accumulation of plaque and tartar but they may also offset the ability of your body to maintain the proper calcium and phosphorous balance to keep your teeth healthy and free of cavities. This modern diet of ours may be ‘killing us’ slowly.

Current mainstream belief is that you must reduce and disrupt plaquing on a regular (daily) basis in order to retard the formation of tartar. By not following along with this conventional wisdom, you risk harm to your teeth and gums. They have studied groups in the past, who lived more naturally, that did well even without the modern toothbrush. Their diet was more in tune with what the body really needs.

If you are on the modern diet, which you almost certainly are if you are reading this, then you do need to work to prevent that tartar build up. As with anything else in life, there are voices who disagree, but for most us, this is the reality.

After you learn to keep plaque under control you might find your gums becoming pink and healthy again. Gum tissue that has been lost is difficult to replenish. Prevention produces results that are superior to gum grafting and dental surgeries.

Another problem that people face is bad breath, Therabreath may help with that. Halitosis is something that can affect our personal lives as well as our professional lives.  You can do something about that as well.Consistant action is the key to success.

How to get white teeth easily?

Uncategorized No Comments »

Well I was wondering how you can get white teeth quick and easy. My teeth are sorta yellow. I brush my teeth everyday in the morning. But In my experience toothpaste does not work. I use colgate whitening. But it does not help at all. It doesn´t even give me a good mouth breath. What can i do to get white teeth besides going to the dentist and getting them whitened?

the whitening toothpastes don’t do very much in my experience! I have been testing and testing and did not get any results. The product that did work for me is nutrabrite and you can order online. I think nutrabrite are giving away free trials. It is the same strength stuff as they use at the dentist so I guess that is why it is so successful!

A very effective- and very inexpensive way to whiten, is to mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide (the active ingredient in most commercial whiteners), to 2 parts of your favorite mouthwash. Before you brush your tooth- swish this mixture in your mouth for about few seconds. It will bubble just a bit (lifting the stains). You’ll see some results after just once or twice, and within a week you’ll see more whitening than anything you can buy over the counter.

There is another way that you can whiten your teeth. I use colgate whitening or clarks white and shine toothpaste and a colgate brush with the bristles mostly the same length, no rubber bits or anything. Every morning and at night before bed clean them thouroughly and to check youve done them properly run your tongue over your teeth and they should feel shiny and polished. Check in the mirror to see if ther is any plaque in the gumline and clean it out if you have. To get them really white: scrub round and round in circles with plenty of tootpaste on each section for 20 seconds or more once a day, every day, for a week.

The problem is it is not easy to diagnose for yourself if you are a sufferer of halitosis, the medical term for bad breath.

You can also check out these selected articles on Cure for Bad Breath.

Although, you still have to do the same regular oral hygiene so that halitosis bacteria will not stay in your mouth. This bacteria usually thrives on the posterior of your tongue so when you see yellowish or whitish accumulation on that part, it will only identify the build up of these bacteria. Check the following to ensure your bad breath don’t continue humiliating you in front of many people:

Drinking lots of water. Don’t you know that having a dry mouth breeds more bad bacteria that cause the smelly odor? You have to hydrate your mouth often as bacteria breed a community of bad compounds. The love it when it is dry because that the time when they can multiply quickly. Therefore, lots of water intake will stop these bacteria from breeding since they are busy with activities to keep your mouth healthy.

Regularly brushing, flossing, and mouth washing. Needless to say, these are the right dental care that you need to practice daily. Improper practice of this routine can leave your teeth and mouth stuck with food and beverage particles, which turn themselves into decaying compounds. It does not only cause bad breath but can also destroy your teeth. It is recommended that you brush and floss every after meal; however, it may also depend on your dentist‘s prescription so check with them regularly too.

Eating yogurt. This may sound not a proper suggestion, but yogurt has good bacteria that actually work inside your mouth to get it rid of bad bacteria causing smelly odor. Just remember though to eat low carb or sugar-free yogurt. As a natural cure for bad breath, intake should at least be twice a day continued for six weeks.

Rinsing with water and baking soda. Again, this may sound not an appropriate one, but baking soda is known to have something in it that can disinfect. To cure bad breath, the baking soda must be mixed with warm water. Gargle the mixture for one minute, and then spit it out.

Drinking green tea beverage. Green tea has elements in it that when taken at least once cup a day can help in getting rid of bad breath. It does not only cure bad breath, but also full of antioxidants which are great for your health as well.

The best thing of losing halitosis for good is that you will be able to resume the old you, the social life and relationships that you nearly lose because people are backing away from you when you open that foul mouth of yours. You also once again regain the self confidence that you really need most. So check out this home remedies and see for yourself how easy you can regain your fresh breath.

However, when any of the abovementioned ways does not make any difference to remove bad breath condition, obviously there is no other solution except to drive right away down to your dentist’s clinic or to your doctor to seek more serious halitosis treatments.

What Is Halitosis and Why Should You Care?

Uncategorized No Comments »

It would really be embarrassing to be told by someone that you have bad breath. That’s why we make sure that we always have proper oral hygiene. This way, we can be sure that we will always have fresher breath and mouth taste. But, you know what? Even if we always have fresh breath, there is still a chance that you may experience having bad breath.

Also check out these selected articles on Bad Breath Remedy.

But, beware as there are lots of factors that cause bad breath. And the best way to fight off bad breath is to arm yourself with enough knowledge of the different factors that cause bad breath. The following are the most common culprits in having halitosis;

Foods

It is not news to every one of us that what we eat is the main culprit of halitosis. This is especially true for foods that have strong odor such as onion and garlic. Coffee is also one of them. However, the unpleasant odor caused by these factors is just temporary and will be gone in a day or after brushing. Avoiding these kinds of foods or minimizing your intake of these foods will resolve your problem.

Smoking

If you have been a smoker for quite a time now, you may have what others call “the smoker’s breath.” This unpleasant odor is caused by the nicotine and tar that accumulated on the teeth as well as the insides of the mouth.

You may think that quitting your smoking habit is the solution. But, no! That will not work the way you expect to though it can be minimized with proper oral hygiene. You will probably need several visits to the dentist before you can totally free yourself with bad breath problems.

Dry Mouth

If you have noticed, your breath is not that pleasant when you wake up in the morning. This is because we normally have dry mouth when we sleep. And because we need saliva and water to cleanse the mouth, you can expect bad breath problem to arise when your mouth is dry and not producing enough saliva to wash off the food particles.

Gum Disease

This is considered as second in the list when it comes to the major causes of halitosis. It is a gum condition associated with bacterial infection. As the problem advances, damage in the bone which holds the teeth also occurs; thus, creating periodontal pockets or deep spaces between your teeth and the gums. In this case, bacteria will have a place to thrive in. And as they feed on the food particles stuck in these pockets, unpleasant odor is also emitted; causing bad breath. Your dentist will know if a certain gum condition is what’s causing your bad breath problem.

Dental Conditions and Dentures

When you’ve got tooth decay or abscessed teeth, there is a high risk that you will have halitosis. According to dental experts, any infection in a person’s mouth is likely to cause unpleasant breath odor. Dentures, whether full or partial, also affect the odor of your breath.

These are just some of the factors that are likely to give you halitosis. Sinus and other untreated health conditions are also among the factors that can cause halitosis in a person. Thus, you have to watch out for your health as well if you want to always have fresh breath.

5 Things You Must Do To Rid of Halitosis

Uncategorized No Comments »

Bad breath can really get you sick to the bones if you have it, which is why you need to know clearly if you do really have it in your mouth. This oral condition is usually caused by the bacteria that thrive between teeth, mouth walls, and most especially, by the tongue. If you are ashamed of admitting to others you have bad breath but they are clearly backing away from you when you are speaking, opt to self check. You can do it two ways:

1.) The anterior check. The anterior is the front most part of your tongue. Self test by licking your wrist and smelling it after it dries or after about five minutes. What it smells is just how your breath smells to others.

2.) The posterior check. The posterior of your tongue is the back part. This is where the bacteria causing your oral condition thrive. Scrape that part of your tongue with a metal or silver spoon. Normally, you will be able to get some white soft matter. Smell it. If it smells too bad to you then you got that chronic bad breath everyone is getting rid of.

You can also read on our related articles on Breath Cure.

Now that you know you have it in your mouth, you have to get rid of it by treating it either by using bad breath home remedy or with the help of a dental professional of your choice. If you opt to do it in both ways, then here are tips of how you do it.

1.) Improve your oral hygiene by properly brushing your teeth. If needed, switch to a better toothpaste of your choice; or if you are seeing a professional, you can ask for an advice of which toothpaste to use. Use a mouthwash or natural mint-based deodorizer right after brushing or immediately after eating dairy foods, meats, and fishes. Do not use sweet or tablet forms of deodorizer as these may even leave residues that will complicate or even aggravate your oral condition. The brushing procedure must also be bettered by brushing the teeth first, massage the gums and cheek walls, and brush the tongue from the back to the front.

2.) Eat plenty of fibrous fruits and foods. This will help you regain fresher breath and even better the condition of your gums and teeth.

3.) Drink plenty of water while avoiding too much coffee and alcohol. Doing so will replace the saliva that you need to maintain the teeth and the overall hygiene of your mouth. Heavy drinks like coffee and alcohol leave residues that may even aggravate your present oral condition though.

4.) Visit your oral professional for advices. If you have an official dentist, go for regular tracking of your oral condition. The same also applies when you have hired a dentist or bad breath professional to track on your improvement.

Having a good breath and healthy mouth condition is not only a reason to smile more often but to have more confidence when you are talking in front of the people. You will find that is it also what people would not mind having in every person they wish to talk in front with, instead of suffering from the horrible fit of bad gas coming from the mouth of the sufferer.

Continue it and if you are already satisfied that you are well, you can reduce the use of deodorizer. Replace it with a sugar-free gum that will also stimulate your gums and the production of saliva in your mouth.

Ways to Avoid the Horror of Bad Breath

Uncategorized No Comments »

It is interesting to learn that there are millions with hundred types of bacteria living in your mouth. You probably thought these bacteria are the cause why bad breath develops. But though they area easily regarded as the one doing the works to cause that shameful mouth condition, not all of them are bad actually. Most of them work hard to continue keeping your mouth healthy by helping you digest food you intake and keep dangerous bacteria from making themselves at home.

What bad breath cause?

Dry mouth – this is the reason why it is recommended that you take lots of water to ensure you retain moist in the mouth and inhibit bacteria from growing bad compounds. The saliva inside the mouth is considered the cleansing agent naturally produced, but if this went dry plaque has better chances of gathering on the teeth. The bacteria around the mouth are then fed into this plaque and eventually create foul smelling breath. Drinking lots of water then through the day cleanses your mouth and as well as your breath.

The lack of water intake is another cause for bad breath. Dry mouth is where bad bacteria love inhabiting themselves about because of the less moisture for them to keep working on.

Smoking also causes your breath to smell bad. Not only that. It can cause tartar and plaque, another reason why breath smells bad, to build up.

Another reason for bad breath is infections such as tonsillitis, sinusitis, and other similar conditions. Infections carry themselves compounds which are absorbed down the mouth and cause the breath to smell bad. Aside from this, there are certain medical conditions that trigger halitosis such as kidney problems, diabetes, periodontitis, and others.

In addition, a person taking prescription drugs can be candidate as well for suffering from halitosis. There is a wide variety of prescription drugs, which when taken orally, cause breath to smell bad.

How to Avoid Bad Breath

Bad breath can be avoided. One of the things that you can do is to practice regular oral dental hygiene. Brushing and flossing twice a day is a simple but effective way to avoid bad bacteria causing halitosis to form a community inside your mouth.

To clean completely your mouth and breath, mouth wash is also recommended. Since brushing and flossing alone do not completely vacuum your mouth with dirt, the rinse scrapes off any debris left around the lining of the mouth and tongue.

Tongue scraping is also a great way to prevent bacteria from reproducing and breeding grounds for bad bacteria.

Keeping your mouth hydrated by drinking water all throughout the day helps these bacteria busy working; thus, avoiding the breed of bad compounds.

Checking with your physician and dentist is a must once you are plagued with the condition. If bad breath continues even if you practice proper oral dental care, there is something wrong with your medical condition. If this is the case, the right person to diagnose and provide treatment is your physician or medical doctor.

Talking with your dental hygienist is a big step towards curing halitosis and gaining your confidence afterwards. Bad breath is never a simple thing to consider. If you don’t want to be affected by the negative things it comes with, take care of your own hygiene and check regularly with your physician.

Can’t I Just Whiten My Own Teeth? Surely I Have No Need For A Teeth Whitening Dentists?

Uncategorized No Comments »

If you are interested in whitening your teeth, you should first consult a dentist on the subject. You might be wondering, why you should do this? First of all, the most common material used to whitening teeth is peroxide, and if the concentration of peroxide is too strong, you can experience moderate to severe burning of the oral mucosa. This means your gums, your tongue, and the inner surface of your mouth, as well as your lips. Teeth whitening dentists can help you by checking the amount of peroxide that is used, after first deciding whether you are a good candidate for this procedure or not.

Bare in mind, not everyone will be a good choice for teeth whitening dentists. People who where dentures, for example, would not be good candidates, nor would anyone who has many tooth colored fillings. The goal of whitening your teeth is to make them an even color, and tooth colored fillings may whiten to a lighter shade than your tooth material. This would definately not be a pleasing outcome.

Your dentist has an overriding concern, which is your overall dental health. You would not be a good candidate for teeth whitening dentists if your gums and teeth are not in good condition. Prior to beginning any whitening procedures, your dentist should give you a thorough examination, complete with x-rays and a cleaning. Only after this has been done, should you consider any whitening of your teeth. And of course, it is best to proceed under the care of a dentist for any teeth whitening.

Teeth whitening dentists can use lots of different methods of whitening your teeth. The most common method used is that to create trays. These are made by making a mold of your teeth, then pressing a dental plastic into the mold. Peroxide is then placed in these trays, and the trays are put on your teeth for an alloted number of minutes. This procedure can be repeated until the desired goal is reached. Your dentist will no doubt be able to tell you when that may be. Another method that is used is laser whitening, which utilizes both peroxide and laser. Neither of these procedures should be undertaken without a dentist in close supervision. Teeth whitening in general really should be done in conjunction with dental care. If you are determined to try some kind of whitening, please ensure you consult your dentist before going ahead. It is nearly always better to play on the safe side.

Sooth That Toothache With A Home Remedy That Works

Uncategorized No Comments »

The Tooth About Home Remedies for Toothache

You have a toothache! The first thing you do is call your dentist and make an appointment. Unless it is something serious like an abscess, appointments are not always available immediately.  So while the sufferer waits and endures what some people have called ‘one of the most painful pains known to man’, the sufferer immediately begins to hunt down a variety of toothache home remedies that will work and ease their pain!

Which of these home remedies for toothache that will work for each person, depends on what exactly the problem is with the tooth.  Problems can result from infections, blows to the mouth, decay or even food lodged between teeth or within cavities of teeth.

If the problem is that there is food or debris stuck within the teeth and it is causing pain, then a gentle swilling out of the mouth is usually effective.  What can also help is the gentle brushing of the teeth to dislodge the food.

Toothache home remedies for a blow to the mouth, which usually result in a swelling or even a tooth falling out, are best treated by icing the area.  In effect you treat the damaged area as you would do any other bruised area of the body. Putting ice on it will help reduce the swelling and numb the nerves around the area to bring pain relief.

Another proven toothache home remedy is rinsing the mouth with salty water.  This works by cleansing the mouth and keeping any open cavities within the tooth clean, so helping to prevent painful infections. Warm water should always be used so there is no pain to any exposed nerves.

One of the least known toothache home remedies involves keeping the head upright. If you think back, a lot of toothaches begin at night when the sufferer is laying down in bed. This is because in this position, pressure builds in the head and causes tooth pain or throbbing. Sometimes, simply sitting up in bed will bring some relief.

Further more, something as apparently unrelated as massaging your hand with an ice cube can bring some pain relief for a toothache.  Between the thumb and the forefinger, in the groove of the bone just below the V shape, an ice cube rubbed gently over this area can be immensely beneficial to anyone who is enduring a toothache.

Making use of these toothache home remedies will depend on what is causing the pain.  The good thing is that all of these remedies are fairly straight forward to implement and are proven to bring relief.
